You couldnt hit the broad side of a barn was just taken to a whole new level. You couldnt hit the side of a boat the size of 2 1/2 city blocks, with 3 trys. Wow these guys really suck.
 
So then . . . you think that they should have been more accurate ?

I'm glad they missed, and am not in favor of them getting any remedial traget practice or training.

The mortar is a weapon of choice for hit & run tactics, but usually quite ineffective, as the aiming is rushed and it's just
dump & run, and move to another place & try another shot - but sometimes they get lucky.

Set piece battles with a known enemy encampment, and a trained and co-ordinated mortar team are another matter.
Set the base & tube, crank up the windage & adjust between shots softens up a known position & provides plenty of dog food.

I somehow doubt that those RPG would've done much damage, if any, to the ships. it took a boat full of bombs to blow a hole in the USS Cole.
