Missed the drop date for class

I missed the drop date for one of my classes, I thought i could save my grade, studied all day/nite but found a way to miserably fail my test. Now im wondering, I want to take the same course with another proffessor(this is community college) but what are the consequences for failing other than money down the drain? if i take the course over and pass will it over-write my failure?

Sometimes if you ask, they'll let you drop it anyway. My calc teacher lets people drop on the very last day of class.

Well im going to try asking the proffessor. I know he is going to give me a very very hard time. Also, i was wondering how bad is it for an F to appear on your transcript? im planning to transfer to a university and complete a BA, does this really pull me out of the running?

Most colleges today offer grade replacement options for retakes. Or you just leave it as an F and don't do it again. If you're ever denied anything for a single bad grade in a class I dont' think it's anything you'd want anyway.

It's really very easy to do, especially with personality conflicts and such. I failed 2 for personality issues, 3 for attendence issues. I just retook them from other prof's and replaced the grades, no biggie.

Check out the JuCo policy on replacing grades. Usually, the F will appear on the transcript, but the retake grade will also appear and the new grade will be used in calculating GPA. Note: some programs in some Universities will use "all hour attempted", so check the policy of the program.

Above all, learn to kiss hind-end!!
