My G9X broke so whilst i waited for the replacement ive been using this:

Ok mouse but i had to avoid FPS especially multiplayer with it, its just not up to the task :(

Logitech said they only had the MW3 version of the G9X to send me *cringe*

It just arrived today and after getting reacquainted with it i wouldn't care if it had a pink dildo as the logo, its just good to have a G9X again! Felt like sharing :p

Also! The notoriously difficult to push scroll wheel button is a bit easier to push, so that's a nice bonus.

Had a G9 for awhile, had some issues with it. Logitech replaced it with the X. In the meantime I had purchased a G700 and fell in love with that. Could never get use to the X again.. Now I'm with a G500 haha. G700 went through 2 with RMA and called it quits. I hate getting use to new mouse. It's so frustrating. You suck with games for like the first week.

Just goes to show how hard it is to recommend a mouse as "best" for anyone. Personally I thought just about everything about the G9x was fantastic. I liked the shape, button layout, and thought the tracking was very smooth and precise. However I could not use it because I found the liftoff distance horrid, I just simply couldn't play a FPS with it because of this one thing.

Yeah "best" is highly subjective. I remember microsofts first foray into gaming mice, the "microsoft habu" everyone said it was great, it looked good, when i got it was the worst POS i had ever used because of its liftoff distance, it had to be a 3-4 cm off the pad to stop tracking. It put me off laser mice for a long time.

I find the G9X's liftoff is okay but yeah different strokes for different folks.

Have had my G9x for a year now and I really love it. Thought about buying a second one to use at work.
