Missed Connection ads

you know the ads people place in the paper....

to the guy who looked at me while I was online in CVS, buying a pepsi, I'd like to meet you, please call me.....

to the girl walking her dog in teh park on thursday at 6pm, I can't stop thinking about you....

these seem pretty desperate and wastes of time and money to me, what are the chances the person will see it.....

I thought the same thing too. But sometimes you have to at least try.

I think what really ends up happening is someone pretends to be that person. Or someone just contacts them and makes a comment. It then leads to getting together. I kind of see it as kind a way for desperate people to meet each other.

I have always wanted to post one that is very generic and see what types of responses I would get.

To the woman who wore the shirt at the bar last night, call me....

craigslist also has them...and they are free 😉

maybe we should run an ATOT contest, see who gets most/best responses 🙂

Do you think all the posts are serious? And how often do you think these people post? Are there people out there thinking that they have a missed connection on the train home from work everyday and just post all the time, hoping for anything?

"It was love at first sight. From the moment I saw you holding that pipe bomb I knew I couldn't live without you. Meet me at 18:00 at the train station. "
