I am a sucker for good detective series that are easy to watch yet keep the mystery all the way up till the end before unraveling who the perpetrator is.
Long ago there was "Murder she wrote" where a detective novel writer named Jessica Fletcher (played by Angela Lansbury) would solve murders.
Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries is an Australian detective series on Netflix (NL) and i enjoy it a lot.
I hope it is available for other countries as well on Netflix.
It follows a similar approach in detective series style as murdershe wrote but the time is set at around 1900 ~1920 in Melbourne.
Phryne Fisher is a modern woman who stands out in the 1920 era of man and she is a lady detective.
She has an Aunt that is as round as she is tall, reffered to as "the ol' battle axe" in one episode but in general a sweetheart.
Cute Dot and Collins. And Inspector Robinson.
There is one funny thing though, Phryne mentions the name : "David Copperfield" in one episode which is funny considering it is 1920 and David Copperfield was ot born yet at the time.
The whole scenery, clothes, trains and cars look amazing.
If you are into detective series that make you relax, this is a good one.
