I've got an ABit KT7A and a 1ghz TBird w/ 266 FSB. I plugged them in and the board reported a 750mhz processor and gave me an error to the effect that the CPU had been tampered with and refused to go any farther than that. I spoke with Accubyte(place I bought it from) and they informed me I needed to have my RAM running @ 133mhz in order for the motherboard to recognize my 1ghz processor. They said in order for the processor to work right, the 133mhz FSB has to be set via a jumper on the motherboard. I looked and looked, I really must be overlooking this jumper. I can't seem to find anything. Is it something Ill need to do in BIOS software wise?

There is no jumper, to set the speed of the cpu go into the "CPU Setup[SOFT MENU III]" menu and set "CPU Operating Speed" to user define, then adjust the settings below it(it's listed on page 3-3 in the manual) :) Hope that helps.
