I currently have this card:
XFX PVT71GUQF3 GeForce 7900GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card
But it has been Discountinued it looks like. Wont show up in newegg and tigerdirect.
I found it on Pricewatch, but it was twice what i spent.

Can have different cards to buy a second to use in SLI? I read that you could from nvidia site, but they recomend to keep the cores the same if can.

Has anyone put two different cards into SLI and it worked OK?
Issues?

My understanding is, that with the newer drivers, you can use different cards so long as they have the same core. You should be good with any 7900GT. Speed will be limited to the speed of the slowest card.

7900GT GPUs are not being produced anymore. The ones that are left out there are to damn high. I can get an 7900GS though.
