Misleading Citibank Emails asking for verification.

Ok got one of those citibank emails saying how they are just verifying me for online banking and stuff. They give me a link to verify myself, but the links URL doesn't look devious, it's https and has the citibank.com address.

So what's the trick in here, how are they doing this?

chances are it's something like https://www.citibank.com/(a whole bunch of crap) @12.421.332.532/(more crap)

Basically the first stuff is just a login for the "real" site. Just say no.

Actually, that's a real link to Citibank. I had received a similar email and I was equally baffled. Check your original email source -- you'll see that the display link is different from the actual link. That's the secret to this scam.
