mislabeled food mini-rant

Out grocery shopping last night, getting plenty of fresh delicious foods, including some good cuts of beef from the county fair's grand champion.

Got to the orange juice section. Hmmmm... I don't want that from concentrate crap... give me some fresh squeezed with pulp. Ahhh, here it is, some pulp, "NOT FROM CONCENTRATE", plus vitamin D and calcium.
Fine print on the bottom of the container: Mixed with Florida valencia oranges from concentrate. wtf?! You can get away with advertising like that?!

Then, when I was near the checkout, I though, "hey, I'll satisfy my sweet tooth." So, I grabbed a "blueberry pie" - store's labeling. Pictures of blueberries on the box, but it said Berry Pie on the box. PICTURES OF BLUEBERRIES ON THE BOX!!! So, I'm eating the pie... wtf? This isn't blueberry? Read the ingredients - blueberries isn't even an ingredient!

Yeah I hate that "Not from concentrate" thing too. I've yet to figure out what's going on there...

I've learned to not read the labels a long time ago. Ever see what kraft singles is labeled as? Not cheese slices, it's processed cheese food. WTF is that?
