A little qualification: I have built a PC before, but it's been a while and some stuff has changed. soooo:

My hardware:
abit ip-35-E
Coolermaster centurion 5

The questions:
1. My case has headphone/mic jacks, and it has a corresponding sound plug into the mobo. However, one says AC 97 and another says high definition, and it also has a ton of mini pins to plug into the mobo. Which one do I use? Do I use HD if I know my mobo has HD?

2. For the LEDs and power/reset switches, Is G the same thing as negative (-) ?

3. How many fans are optimal ( I have one front intake, a big ass CPU fan, and 1 120mm out take) Side fans won't mount because the cpu cooler is so big

4. Are DVD drives slave or master

1. I don't use the front audio, but the manual should say something about the front audio connector pin-outs.

2. G should mean ground which is -

3. Intake & exhaust should be equal.

4. The drive on the end of a cable should be set to master & any other on the middle of the cable should slave.
