Misaligned screen picture...?

Hey -
For some reason when I change my screen resolution from 1024x768 to 1152x864, the screen becomes skewed to the left side. What I mean by this is not only does the wallpaper picture get shifted, but the Start button (lower left) and icons shift halfway off the edge of the screen, and there is almost an inch of black space on the right side. Is this a simple problem to fix, or might it be my video card?

Use your monitor controls to align your view properly...

Unfortunately, my monitor doesn't have those options...
