Say I have a remote server, which I would like to mirror to a local system. The remote server has a directory that is constantly being updated with new directories/files, and I want a mirror of that locally. Is there some sort of App that will let me do this?

Anyone?

I've found several that simply let you 'sync' two directories, but nothing that will constantly (or atleast every minute or so) check for new data.

I am looking for similar software but not for remote use, only to mirror files and folders on a main drive and a second drive on a single pc just as a safety measure in case one drive goes down. Of course I would prefer real time mirroring but something that would even synchronize both locations at system shutdown could do.

If you come across any such software in your quest please let me know and I will do in kind.

Thanks!

That seems like a bit much. I could write a rather simple Win32 Console app to monitor for new data, but I would rather not waste my time doing that, if it isn't needed.

I saw a previous post about something called 'SyncBack', I am going to try that tomorrow, and see if it has what I need.

That does not appear to be real time mirroring software more like backup restoring software. The website is a very frustrating read with a lot of beat around the bush type info so not 100% sure.
