Hi guys, I have an SMC 7008BR 8 port broadband router(R1.95n firmware) and mIRC 6.03. I'm having problems sending files via DCC file send, even though I can receive them. Does anyone know what ports I have to forward? I followed a couple of online guides, and thought it should work, but it still doesn't.

Here are my current settings

Router settings:
Ports 12500-12503(1 port for each transfer for a max of 4 simultaneous transfers) forwarded to my internal IP address via "Virtual Server"
Port 113(ident) and 7000(irc server port) forwarded as above.
Port 7000 triggers 113(for ident purposes) via "Special AP"

mIRC settings(under options):
Connect->Options
Default port: 7000

Connect->Local Info
Local Host specified as my hostmask, IP address specified as my external internet IP address
On connect, always get Local Host
Lookup method: Server

DCC->Options
DCC Ports: 12500-12503
Max DCC sends: 4

It doesn't work even with these settings. What exactly do I need to setup? Thanks!

Thanks JackMDS. I actually followed a similar guide as your 2nd link, which is also meant for the 7004ABR rather than my 7008BR, but both routers are similar though not identical. I found it via google, and it offered similar advice, except the ports are different(I used 12500-12503 instead of 1024-1028). I don't see how that could make a difference though. I went through every other setting and they seem to be the same as mine(other than the 6667 IRC port instead of 7000).

Also, I did a /whois on myself with my existing settings, and I already don't have the ~ before my username. According to your link, that's the check to see if ident will work, so I guess it did work. However, DCC file sends still don't work. Receives do though.

One more thing, the guide said to leave the local info as blank, but everytime I reconnect to an IRC server it will fill in the blanks for me. I'm assuming that's what its meant to do?
