mIRC + Comcast = Problems???

Due to some *security* issues with Comcast users, all of us now have to do the Identd server thing. But apparently, mIRC refuses to acknowledge that I have in fact turned it on.

Any other Comcast users going through the same trouble?

I've never had any issues with any IRC servers. Every once in a while I'll get the ident message, I just try and reconnect and it usually goes through.

Not sure .. I have never used but I just a new modem/router and it blocks all ports which were previously open so I had to do port forwarding. It MIGHT be your modem. Just an idea. Try "192.168.1.1" in your adress bar and see what's blocked and what's not. Good luck!
