Miranda ICQ database question

Miranda kicks ass... ok... and it's damn cool that everything is kept as one .dat file. All your history, options, contacts, etc...

But now my .dat is getting pretty big which I thought of course since I'm getting more message history. But then I went and deleted all message history from all my contacts but the file size remains unchanged. So appearantly it's still in the .dat (even though if I view the .dat in notepad it shows it is gone). Is there anyway to clear this so I can keep it small enough (better to transfer between comps that way).

Shutdown ICQ and Re-run the DB Converter. It will get rid of bad references if it can and rewrite a new file.

I guess he was thinking Mirabillis.

Can you export your contact list, erase the dat file and then import the list back in?

I don't used Miranda so I don't know if that's possible.
