Mirage vs Fluance

How are Fluances compared to Mirage Frx-5 's?

My Mirage's are awesome, and I love my pair. I realize they are Mirage's low-end, and would appreciate a [seemingly warrented] comparison because I would like a 5.1 set, and haven't heard the Fluances. I only have a pair of Frx-5's right now. They were a little less than $400 for hte pair when I bought them a while back.

Orginally I was going to save up for some nicE fronts and center, while then moving my Mirage's to the rear. Should I wait? Are my Mirage's out of the Fluances leauge?

ETA on any purchase is a few months at least.

Thanks

P.S.

I also saw some Nice KEF Q1's book shelf's for sale the other day, but they were $250/pair. A VERY good price, but too rich for my blood right now.

Don't know about the Mirage FRX-5s, but in general, I would imagine that Mirage is better than Fluance.

As for the Q1s...I personally don't like the KEF sound, unless you're talking about the reference line. I feel that their mids are a little too thick and there isn't enough clarity and separation in the highs.

Interesting. I was reading some reviews, and the reviews were mixed for both the Mission M71 and the KefQ1. Both were found to be excelllent for their respective prices, but the Kef, as you said focus on mids while the Mission focused on highs.....

I can get the Missions for less than $200.....hmmmmmm....New computer speakers anyone?😀

I have the Mirage Frx-7s for my fronts and the Frx rears and centers in my family room. Great speakers for the money (they were an xmas gift from my GF in 2002).

Frx-7's are really nice. Even better than the Frx-9's, which to have a integrated sub that just didn't cut it.

They are all out of production, but it's nice to remenis
