Just received my MiraChem OPTIX cleaner
I previously had been using Pledge for Electronics which by the way is the best thing I have found until OPTIX
OPTIX is an oderless, colorless cleaner for any type of LCD display, plastics, polycarbonate, painted surface or any other delicate surface.
Don't quite no what's in it but let me tell you it works.
It's an ammonia free alchohol and vinegar free solution(according to the bottle).
I used it along with a 3M microfiber cleaning cloth to clean my IBM T40 Thinkpad
The screen looks great removed all traces of fingerprints and smears also left absolutley no streaking or smears behind
I decided to also clean the keyboard and palmrest using this, as it is safe for all plastics again it removed all traces of fingerprints with no streaking
or staining.
So after the success of the screen and the keyboard and such I decided what the heck I will clean the cover,
which as we all know is a magnesium composite coated with some type of finish, also anyone who owns one knows that fingerprints like to remain on the cover even after being wiped off most of the time.
Well i sprayed the OPTIX directly on to the cover and then using the Microfiber cloth wiped the entire surface of the cover and then using a dry spot of the cloth lightly dried the surface. Much to my surprise after the surface had dried all traces of fingerprints were gone.
I suggest anyone who is looking into a LCD cleaner to give this product a look
I also used it to clean my desktop LCD and it looks beautiful (I swear the picture looks better maybe just beacause its finaly clean)
