MIR date verification question

I'm not trying to perpetuate anytype of fraud here although I guess it may be construed as such. But my question is as follows. I bought an item on the cutoff order date stated on the rebate. But it was shipped a week later and the reseller invoice shows the orderdate as the shipdate (doesnt show the orderdate)

So I dont want to deal with semantics with the rebatecompany so I was wondering if they actually verify the purchase date through somekind of database. If i just went ahead and altered the shipdate to reflect the purchase date, whether anyone would be the wiser.

You should be able to get a receipt on the reseller's site that shows the order date.

DO NOT alter anything. it's fraud, plain and simple.

my question was really about how sophisticated the MIR companies are in their verifications and not the consequences of altering the shipping slip. I've tried the method suggested, but was basically told to go jump off a bridge by the reseller. It was an item from a specialty nutrition store that was an authorized reseller.

So I would still appreciate if anyone had any information as to the process rebate companies go through to verify their submissions.

I wouldn't worry about them verifying the purchase date with the retailer, but how did you alter the date? Photochop?

The order was placed over the telephone. The story I got was they run the card the day they ship. I dont blame the seller, since they are some small organic vitamin shop and they do good things. (although they are probably at fault). Eitherway, I can already imagine what an appeal with a rebate company might be like; so I just want this to go through smoothly. I think the judge might be sympathetic.

If case anyone was interested-It was for high concentrate pharmaceautical grade omega3 supplement.

yeah, ps. Its your regular black and white shipping slip. I was just wondering...cuz i did a PC connection rebate, and onrebate seem to have a direct line into PC connection system.
