Anybody here at AT have one? Did a search and didn't find much. It's getting rave reviews, but I was hoping to hear from someone that has used it for a while.

It looks very impressive, and the attention to detail is all there. My hands hurt after extended gaming with my Razer Diamondback. There's no room to rest the ring and pinky finger on the mouse. The Naos 5000 seems to address that perfectly, seems you just rest your entire hand on top of it.

Just in case anyone is thinking about this mouse, I went ahead and bought it. Been using it for about a week, and I have mixed feelings. It's obviously a quality mouse, but it feels just a tad big and cumbersome to get used to. Even with all the weights out, I end up strafing in games to aim rather than moving the mouse left or right.

I find myself wanting to wrap my hand AROUND the mouse, rather than placing it over the mouse. Even with the grippy feel, it feels like it could slip out of my hands if I'm not careful. I'm probably going to return it. Those with bigger hands would probably like this mouse more.

how does it compare to a Logitech MX1000? If you've used one of those before =P

Never tried the MX1000, but I did try the MX518 briefly. In this, your ring and pinky fingers are spread out more. At one point I felt like I was losing blood circulation in my pinky. I never had that problem with the MX518. If given a choice I'd have to go with the MX518, but my Razer's looking better everyday.

I bought a Mionix 3200 from somebody on the forums. Looks exactly like the one pictured. I'm really happy with it.

BUT>>> I've been using a dell mouse forever, so I don't really have a basis for comparison w\ other higher end mice.

I like it though. It feels good in my hand and it seems to be pretty light.

It does look pretty nice.

I just bought an Ikari and find it to be the ultimate gaming mouse. I especially love the texture on it since it's such a rugged construction (but not heavy at all). I'm also the same way with not liking to have my hand rest on the mouse, but rather grab it "around" and use the mousepad as my anchor. I think that method of ergonomics to be more conducive to gaming and control in general since it allows quicker precise movements.

I also got their aluminum (SX) mousepad to go along with the responsive laser. Only problems I've found so far is I have to keep it pretty clean otherwise *viewpoint >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>* wtf?

Bumping an old thread.

I just bought this mouse last night as an impulse and am looking forward to it. I am a huge deathadder fan and still love it, but I was looking for something with some more features. This appears to be the next step up from the deathadder. I will use this mouse at home and take my deathadder to work to replace my G5 that I never really liked much.

The two main reasons why I chose this as an upgrade from my beloved deathadder: Rubberized texture. I LOVE THIS about the deathadder. Hate the dry strange texture of my G5 (this is the version of the G5 I have http://www.digitalversus.com/logitech-g5-v2007-p384_2465_33.html). And the large palm ergonomic design. I still can't believe how comfortable the deathadder is. Hope this one does me right.

Funny, I ended up returning the Mionix and got a Deathadder instead. The Mionix just felt a bit too big for my hands, and I don't have small hands. The Deathadder is also a bit on the bigger side, but still allows for claw grip.

The Mionix is a high quality product. If the grip fits you, you'll love it.

Just got this mouse, was hoping to love it but the jury is still out on that so far.

The software crashes every time I apply a setting. It doesn't respond and I can't change anything. This is really pissing me off. I installed 1.16 that I got off of MIONIX OWN WEBSITE but apparently 1.17 is actually the newest software. WTF mionix doesn't put their newest software on the site is beyond me, but it's crap like this that makes me want to GTFO and not use their products.

I'm not quite loving the shape as much as I hoped. While it is comfortable, the ring finger/pinky rest is getting in the way more than I thought. I guess I am more of a clawgripper than I suspected. My deathadder just feels much more natural when it comes to actively moving the mouse around. I'll give it some more time and maybe even do a fresh install (running win7 pro 64) to see if that solves my software problem.

I am REALLY tempted to just send this back to amazon though. Not sure what to do.

Oh, I forgot to mention that my PC wouldn't boot until I disabled USB Mouse Detection settings in the BIOS. That's right, I had to DISABLE USB Mouse detection in order for the USB mouse to work. I remember having other problems too, it factored into the decision to return it. Sounds like you're going thru the exact same thought process that I went thru.

Give it a week to see if you'll get used to the shape. It seems like a love it or hate it mouse so you'll arrive at one of those conclusions.

Sending the Naos 5000 back tomorrow. If the software didn't crash for me every time I change a setting I might consider keeping it. But the software problem compounded by the fact that I just don't like it for gaming means it's going back. Yes it is comfortable, but the pinky rest gets in the way for gaming for me. I can't pick up the mouse and I'm not nearly as accurate with it.

Feels really good to be back using my old 1800 dpi deathadder. I think this mouse is just as comfortable as the naos without getting in my way.
