I had this player. It play everything VCD, SVCD, MP3, JPEG no problem. The screen is not as good as the name brand one like Panasonic or Toshiba. AV input feature is very nice. You can connect your video game system to the dvd player so you can play video games using the lcd screen of the dvd player.

What chaps my hide is the price of car lcd units. I can get a 7" small form factor mintek DVD fo $180, but this still costs $230, large form factor, no dvd.

The previous link was in the older link format of the Best Buy site - ever since they launched their new site last weekend, they've been running into problems, and they keep swithcing between the old and the new sites (and then there is the occasional site unavailable notice).

At present, this seems to be the only Mintek player available on their site:
