I recently installed Mint 10 on my Dell Latitude 13 laptop. Originally everything worked ok, then I ran some updates and one of them caused a problem with my touchpad.
Basically it has been made hyper sensitive. While using it if any of my fingers comes close to it the cursor jumps over. If I "hover" a finger over the touchpad with my primary finger making contact the cursor will actually jump back and forth very rapidly. I can probably upload a video of exactly what happens if anyone wants more detail as to what exactly happens. Basically it makes normal computing very awkward.
I'm sure I could just roll back all the updates, but I would rather make the current set up work.
I'm a pretty new to Linux in general which is why I'm using Mint. I've had the same problem with Ubuntu 10.10 in the past.
Thanks for any help you guys can offer.
