Minor trouble after motherboard switch

Hi,

I recently got miself a ASUS A7V8X mobo (Had an accident with the old mobo and processor.... probably an ESD), and it's working fine except for one little issue. When I exit Windows XP (shut down) my computer reboots all by itself and I have to use the power switch to turn it off?? I have NO idea whatsoever what's causing this so any help will really be appreciated!!!

I never reinstalled Windows XP after switching to the new mobo, could that be a problem.. even with Windows XP?

Sys specs:

ASUS A7V8X mobo
AMD XP 2000+
512 MB DDRAM 333mhz SAMSUNG
GEFORCE 4 Ti4200 128MB RAM
Windows XP Professional

Go to Windows Support Center . That site has lots of info on Win startup/shutdown problems with links to the appropriate knowledge base articles on the MS site - one would think MS should have that problem locked down by now. But what the hey, it's Mickeysoft... Solve all your MS-related problems: Xandros
