inspired by the Blink 182 vs. Green Day, but I wanted to go with some real punk.

I'm not even sure how to vote....

Minor Threat vs. Black Flag would've been a lot better, same era, same style. Op Ivy is more punk-ska. Granted they're both awesome, I'll go with MT though just because Ian is the man, and I like Fugazi better than Common Rider. :)

isn't operation ivy basically rancid with exceptions to a few guys?
op ivy all the way

i don't kindly to Green Day bashin, i saw them on their latest tour and they did 3 op ivy covers that night, thier openers the get-up kids were also great, one of the best live shows i've seen

This is actually a pretty good one! Minor threat is what introduced me into punk rock, Bottled Violence, Guilty of Being White, and Salad Days are some of my favorite songs. They were my "gateway" into alot of great music including Op Ivy. Some of my favorite albums that I have as a result of being introduced to Minor Threat: Black Flag-My War, Dead Kennedys-Plastic Surgery Disasters, The Clash-Give Em Enough Rope, Fugazi-Repeater(well duh!) and many more.

I am gonna have to go with Ian and the boys on this one!
