minor side effects of laser surgury?

I had LASIK done like 3 or 4 years ago, to treat my near-sightedness. One thing I've noticed is that slight pressure to my eyes makes my vision blurry for a half minute or so. This may result if I rest the side of my head on a pillow in such a way that the the pillow applies some pressure to the side of my eye for a while then I pick my head up and look around, that eye will be blurred for a while, until it can readjust.

Also, I seem to have lost my near-sightedness. If I try to look at thing closer than 4" from my eyes it becomes blurry and kinda makes my eyes ache.

Anyone else get these kinda things with their eyes, even if you didn't have LASIK? But boy am I glad I got it done... I am lucky I didn't get any serious complications, and I feel so free without annoying glasses.

Sounds like you're getting old.

I've had 20/20 vision for as long as I can remember, and I can't focus on objects <4" in front of me enough, say, to read text. I don't think that's a problem with Lasik, probably just normal (due to aging)... I dunno though.

There are numerous side affects to eye surgery and your eyes change over time, from what I've read.

I still think it's pretty interesting that you can get lasik (in theory) to improve your eyes beyond 20/20.
