Minor problems with TJ07 + Ultra-120 Extreme + eVGA 680i N68

I was thinking this setup wasn't going to have any problems, but I ran into one:

I can't mount a fan on the Ultra 120, for 2 reasons.

1) I have a Yate Loon D12SL-12 and the mounting holes have a thick piece of cylindrical plastic going from one face of the outside to the other, so I'd have to cut the cylindrical pieces out of the fan to be able to mount it with the included bracket. (Like they did in the SPCR Review of the cooler)

2) The heatsink on the NB seems to get in the way of the fan mounting. It looks like it would block the little metal wire that clips the fan on, but I can't really tell.

So, a few things... firstly, if anyone has that particular Yate Loon fan, was it easy to cut to get it to fit in this configuration?

Secondly, does the NB heatsink block the metal wire from clipping the fan on?

And finally, is it possible to rotate the heatsink in this configuration, so that the fan could be mounted on it to blow air UP and out of the case?

Thanks.

EDIT: I got impatient and found 3 more or less brand new rubber bands with some office supplies. Mounted the fan that way, no problems so far. Looks kinda ghetto though. 😱

I have my U-120 rotated blowing air upwards, but obviously I don't know whether it will be blocked by something in your configuration.
