To my dismay, I'm supposed to be using the "new" computer now. But enough of that, on with the issue.
To those that live in the Toronto, Ontario, Canada region, you might be familiar with the places I'm about to mention.
Now, I have a 6800GT ordered at ncix.com, but won't probably be getting it until weeks, or maybe a month or so from now, due to the shortages. So I've decided to maybe cancel it, and go with an x800 PRO instead. Thus, I have two options for that:
1) Get a Celestica PRO at Canada Computers (Pacific Mall) - $580 (no tax yet)
2) Get a Sapphire PRO at eskynet (a store at Markham) - $555 (no tax either)
Apparently, BOTH stores were sold out; however, I also tried calling a Canada Computers, located in downtown (for kicks), and they too were sold out. They (downtown Canada Computers) "should" be getting shipments by Monday or Tuesday - same with eskynet. Upon calling eskynet, I asked if they could possibly keep one on hold for me - the dude just told me to call tomorrow and see, heheh. Boourns. :brokenheart:
Now here's the kicker: I decided to check out infonec's site (another store in Markham), since I haven't searched through it in a year or so. What do I see? An MSI NX6800GT for $595 (no taxes yet, again)! Now, I'm "hoping" it's legit (meaning, they actually HAVE it in stock), because in their listing, they DO have mention of stock status (ie. low quantity, out of stock, etc.). Additionally, they also have the Sapphire PRO for $575, and the Sapphire PRO VIVO for $599 (costs are getting a little high now, trying to save as much as I can in the process, heh), both of which are IN STOCK as well! You all can be assured I WILL be calling these places first thing tomorrow, but my question lies:
Which card should I go for?
Right now, the PRO at eskynet looks most attractive, considering it's price.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
