Minor issues with the Asus A7V motherboard

Fallout

Well I have the above listed motherboard, witch you all know has 2 udma-100 ide controllers on it.Well the problem with those is that the mobo searches for an udma-100 bios at start, and it takes some 10-15 seconds witch is pretty much annoying...the second problem is I can't get it to go in sleep mode.I mean it it goes to sleep no problem, waking up is the problem though-I have to reset the computer.
Suggestions would be much apreciated...

update your bios from the asus site. then disable the ata-100 in the bios setup. this should work (it worked for me)

You can disable the Promise BIOS with the 1004 BIOS for the A7V. As for the problems waking up, make sure you have the latest drivers for both the board and all your cards and input devices.
