Well, something seems to have corrupted my XP install in an ever so slight manner (head turns toward Warcraft III beta -- I installed this buggy game about the same time the problem arose).
Anyway, normally have XP set to go to screen saver after 15 minutes and to turn off the monitor after an 1 hour of non-use (I run my PC 24/7).
Recently, when I wiggle the mouse the bring the PC back to life -- the desktop would show up, but the entire taskbar (from start buttom to systray) is just black. And all my desktop icons are gone as well. I have to reboot the PC to get my desktop back in usuable shape.
However, if I just turn off the Screen and Power saver features -- no problems (I just have to manually shut off my monitor).
Any suggestions on what I should do? (BTW, this will happen in both O/C'ed and non-O/C'ed conditions -- its definately a software glitch).
BTW, whats that proggy that shuts down XP's embedded spyware??
