Minor annoyance

A weird thing started happening - In Win XP home edition, I set the power switch to go into Hibernate. For months, upon turning on the computer in the morning after using the power button to hibernate the night before, the screen that would be displayed initially would request the password to log into the desktop. Now, instead of having the place to enter the password opened, I have to ckick on the Icon for the user to get it to display the place to enter the password. What changed? I know this is stupid, but little things like this can really be annoying.

in the control panel, under user accounts, click "change the way users log on or off", uncheck "Use the Welcome Screen"
