Minor accident, what would this cost?

My gf drives a Nissan Xterra. She pulled slightly too far into a parking space last week and hit a pole going about 5mph. The damage is pretty minor- pushed one side of the bumper in slightly. Unfortunately it seems like Xterras have very little clearance in the wheel well, and with the bumper pushed in (the bumper and wheel well are all one piece) the front tire scrapes on the well when making turns.

See highlighted area in picture. This is not her car (and does not have the damage), but you'll get the idea

You can see that the side of the bumper is attached to the edge of the body. When the bumper pushed back, the aluminum above the wheel well buckled very slightly, so I think the issue is that the bumper is both pushed in slightly, and angled down slightly, and now the very bottom edge of the well rubs against the tire.

Would a body shop just pull it back into place for cheap? GF is kinda tight on cash right now so she's less concerned with cosmetics and more with not screwing up the car when she has to drive it. Other suggested DIY fixes are also welcome.

Pliers & hammer?
And this I agree with. If it's rubbing take a hammer or something else and try and pull or pound it out so that it stops rubbing.

BTW if you don't get it fixed it's likely that over time that particular spot will rust out, although if it had to be replaced anyway who cares.

Rubber mallet is a good idea. I'm not really a car guy so I'm hesitant to do things myself, but it's worth a shot. Anything to watch out for?

Don't whack anything you don't want to replace later. :p

i do not believe your bumper and fender liner is one unit... they should be 2. just gotta find the bolts...

i would try to do something yourself. since the damage is done the worst it will cost is a new bumper and fender liner. good thing is the front bumper doesn't need to be painted so bumper should run $200-500. fender liners are $50-150 and if you dont know how to install it should be about 100-200 to install. but i think you should be able to take care of this by yourself with no money spent.
