Minnows in a bucket how long will they live?

Go rent an oxygen tank and have it filled, then stick a hose down in the water and just crack the valve on the tank =)

All the water changing you did over the night... was it chlorinated water (drinking/tap water)? That'll kill 'em quick.

I've read articles in fishing magazines of minnows in styrofoam buckets lasting for months. Something to do with oxygen able to pass through.

That's what did it.

I kept probably 2 dozen minnows alive in one of those small plastic critter holders for about a week, once.. I had to blow in the water with a straw twice a day every day. Even then, a few died.
