Never went into this discussion but I bet Boberfett wants everyone to think Pawlenty did something other than trash everything there was in Minnesota.

Also the local Minnesota Republican party threw out Erne Carlson despite him probably being one of the most successful Republican politicians in Minnesota. Right wing fundamentalists do nothing but destroy everything and exist in a cesspool of ignorance.

Contrary to that article, there is no actual fracking occurring in Minnesota, though there some limited processing of fracked sand from other states.

Maybe the policies do, maybe not. But they came into play about the same time things turned around. Funny that the worst of it occurred just before Pawlenty, a Republican, left office after 8 years.

Just saw news that MN is expected to have a budget surplus of 1.9 billion.

And if I remember right we had a government budget surplus and one of the highest rated education systems in America back before Pawlenty took over as governor and by the end of his 2nd term we had a major deficit and our state education was failing and had some major funding problems.

There was a rant earlier about things being bad under T-Paw because the whole US economy was bad, but in reality that crash in 2008 happened after he'd been in office about a term and a half. Some can be blamed on it but only so much.
