IIRC, he got a fat three years contract with the Rockets plus several endorsements (Nike, Volvo, etc.) in the US plus several more in Taiwan/China.
Even if he could not play another game in his life, he will be set for life and with a Ivy League degree, he won't blow all his money within a year or two, and you won't see his name in another Sports Illustrated article of "Where is my daddy".
That may be true, but my point is that there has been a ton of news about him since his outburst as a Knick. Almost Tebow-esque, just not quite the same magnitude.
