Minnasota's Randy Moss: He Says He Doesn't Have To Play

This is what Randy Moss said recently:
According to the Associated Press, Moss said: "I think the people around here in Minneapolis are just jealous because I don't give them the time of day or the pleasure of interviewing me." Asked whether his quotes about playing only when he wants to play were taken out of context, Moss replied: "Hell, no. That (expletive) is what I said. When I want to play, I'll play. There's nobody here on the face of the earth that can make me go out here and play football. I can go out here on the field and suit up and stand on the sideline and play. At my highest level? I don't know. If I want to go out here and play at my highest level, I'll do that." Asked who could cover him one on one, Moss said: "Nobody."


Isn't that a violation of his contract with the Vikings? I guess the contract says that he has to play to his full abilities to get paid right? Unless there is a loophole in the contract oops.

Moss needs to be benched and locked in a damn room with the defense.

this guy has a serious attitude problem, and needs it knocked the heck out of him. He's a big reason why the Vike's are out of playoff contention now, the whole "rip the team apart" thing. I'm not saying trade him, because we wouldn't be able to get anything near what his salary cap worth is right now. No team will pick him up for that price, with his attitude.

I will say he has a ton of talent, but that talent is for the most part being wasted with his stupid chip on his shoulder. He needs to get over whatever problems he has, and either drop out of pro ball, or give it his all.

This guy just pisses me off. I see nearly everyone else on the team at least *trying*, but then you have this whiner who admittedly takes plays off and tries to piss off fans up here. He's a grade A a-hole.

I just say bench him, since our season is over anyways. Make damn sure you bench him on monday night, because that's the only time he thinks he needs to play to make himself look worthwhile to other teams.

Argh.
