EL PASO, Texas -- The used minivan came with an unexpected option -- about 100 pounds of pot.

A man recently bought the 1997 Plymouth Voyager from the El Paso County, Texas, Sheriff's Office.

A mechanic who checked under the minivan found the stash of weed.

Sheriff's officials say the buyer immediately returned the vehicle.

The minivan was seized by authorities when about 350 pounds of marijuana was found inside. Officials are trying to determine how deputies missed the rest of the weed.

The sheriff's department promises to return the van, minus the pot, to its new owner.

Reminds me of a story from several years ago when I lived in Colorado Springs. Little old lady bought a car from police auction which promptly ran out of gas about 15 miles from the auction location, gets a push to a gas station, tank only took about 5 gallons. Takes car to a mechanic to find out what the problem was, 15 gallon tank only taking 5 gallons....turns out the other 10 gallons of space was holding bricks of cocaine.

hehe thats funny, whats even funnier is that where a good friend of mine lives in VA there was an article in their paper about one morning some peopel work up and randomally discovered packages on their prperty with small parashuit attached to them

turns out that something like 300 lbs of weed had been air dropped and had obviously missed its target and most of it landed in this dudes front yard
 
I'm going to buy a car from a police auction. Use it to run marijuana, and if I get caught blame the criminal before me.
