Hi, I'm a college student and don't feel that spending money on food is a good investment. I feel that I can live on tunafish and ramen, spending at most $90 a month on food. What are your opinions on that? Is it feasible, has anyone done it, etc?

Thanks for your help!

food as a bad investment
weird...
its kind if a mandatory thing, not an investment

anyway, you should invest more in pizza and beer.

It can easily be done if you never get take-out or go to restaurants.

Just remember ground beef is your friend.

I spent less than $65 per month for about 4 months straight when I was in college and had no job. I ate pretty well. I ate eggs, rice, chicken, etc. Of course, by the end of that year I had began to see ribeye steaks under a different light, and I seem to be overcompensating for those days now...

It's easy to live off < $90 per month. Ramen Noodle, Mac n' Cheese (Roundys, not Kraft), and anything else that costs less than $.40.

Ramen noodles are only 10 cents. So if you ate 4 of those a day and drank water you would only spend $12 a month :) Of course it wouldn't be very health, but that's another issue...

Thanks for the support guys! Now if only Jared the Subway man would've used my idea, he would've save $5/sub * 30 days/month, but he woudln't have the endorsements though.
