We've got some older (2005 - 2007 or something like that) movies on miniDV tapes from our Canon Elura 90. I've decided to sell the Canon (we've been using our Panasonic TM-700K for a while now), but before doing so, want to copy the miniDV tapes to my PC, so I can transfer them to our NAS drive.
I'd like to store the raw capture so as to preserve the highest quality (space is not really a concern, I've got plenty of it).
Is there some kind of program or something that is known for having good capture? Or, is whatever is built into Windows 7 Home Premium as good as some of the better video capture/editing software?
Capture will be done via Firewire if that matters...
Thanks for any info on this!
Chuck
