I am really thinking about getting a md player, but I am confused with this new NetMD thing. It sounds pretty cool but have been reading about it not sounding as good because it cant record at a high bitrate or something. Anyway was wondering what would be better, the new NetMD or going with the older drives with the digital computer link? It seems the NetMD may be faster but not sound as good? I would mainly be ripping songs from cds i own and copying them to the md. Also, for those of you that own these md players how happy are you with them?

I don't own a NetMD unit, so I can't comment on them. I do own a MD player/recorder, and I'm very happy with it. It does an excellent job. My only complaint is that it doesn't record faster then real time.

I have a sony minidisc player that I'd consider selling you if you're interested. I forget the model #, but it was top of the line about two years ago. I think it's rx90 or something? Anyway, I'll have to look up more info and price if you're interested. LMK.
