Pretty cool, I don't suppose it's actually running on gas is it? Kindof looks like air or something.

I have seen this before. Props to the creator. It looks like it is an aircooled engine with brass cylinder walls/heads? I would not run that thing for more than a minute.

It IS gas powered. How would you run it with air??

No spark plugs, and the camshafts are geared 1:1 to the crank shaft. That plus no smoke out of it makes me think he's feeding it compressed air. The only thing I'm not sure about is that it looks like he has some kind of distribution system on the front of it that you wouldn't need on an air engine ... anybody know what that's doing? edit: ah! oil pumps! yeah, it's an air motor.

edit: beat to the punch!

Did anybody bother to read the description below the video? Here's a hint if you don't read spanish: inyeccion de aire literally means air injection which is interpreted as powered by compressed air.

Take a look at this photo I took several years ago at the Oregon GEARS show. It does run on combustion.

That was awesome. I was expecting it to run on gasoline, but I am still impressed nonetheless.

Saw the thread title, and was interested to see what this was. I thought a Mini with a V12?

Very cool. I remember someone made a 1:8 scale Viper engine I think.

Ah, no it was 1/4 scale:
