Mini SIM from UBL551 cut down to Micro SIM for Galaxy S3?

I'm hoping someone can give me first hand experience with this issue.

I am hoping to cut down my data only mini sim from my Verizon UBL551 into a micro sim size for use in a new Galaxy S3 that I would buy unlock/off plan.

I have no use for a minutes plan.

Any advice? Is this possible? I don't want to buy the phone, cut the sim then find out it won't work.

That cutter looks pretty good. I am not so worried about the physical cutting of the card.

What I really worry about is the phone working with the data only card. Understand I won't be making any voice calls with it. Just using Google Maps and surfing the web, email, etc.
