Does anyone deal with Directron much? I have a new EPoX 4PEA+ which worked for a day. now ceases to work.
I shut my computer off, went to turn it back on after adding a game header..(gameport) it wouldn't power on.... not even the slightest bit of action..... so i started troubleshooting and believe me, i've done it before... i tried EVERYTHING.. this board is shot. i put my old mobo and CPU back in using ALL the same components and it started right up fine.. That's what I am using now.

here is my main problem......... I don't want to have to pay $77 in brokerage fees bringing my new replacement board across the border again.. do you know if i can do a direct refund with their company? i tried calling (closed) and i've sent emails (one got auto response, and the other not anything back yet)

if I can return this board, and not have to pay brokerage again on the replacement, i'll be okay with this... but if i do have to pay.. will they give me a refund instead? it's just too much.. all in all.. this boarc has cost me close to $330 after all is said and done. I am NOT paying another $77 which will make it over $400 for one freaking nothing overly special P4 board.

WHAT THE HELL CAN I DO !? this is a very expensive stupid game here......
 
I know I, amonst others here, have ordered from Directron. I've never had anything go bad from them before..so i really dont know. Man, $77 brokerage fee?? Wtf is that. Damn you canucks get some crazy charges moving things across the border. Good Luck!
 
Yes, $77.......and if i have to pay that again, there is going to be hell to pay.
so no one has ever sent anything back to Directron for a refund?
damn.. i'd like to find out ASAP, i need a plan of action here.........

It's because of the war on drugs. Seriously. CND is laxing marijuana laws so the US response is to tighten up the boarders and dry up our economy.
The only course of action is war.
You can feel proud to know that your motherboard went down in history as the board that started the war of 2002 and the fall of the US empire. Trust me, our tank is merely a decoy.
You americans will pay for this bruxx0r3d motherboard.

And you craig dude, you will be paying more fees because directron has nothing to do with customs I'm afraid to say. This is why I buy locally.

I don't think they'll give you a refund. They will probably exchange, but then you're gonna be SOL on the custy charges again, unless you can get them to send it fedex or something, not too sure about that.

Maybe because it isn't a new purchase but rather a 'repair/replacement', customs & brokerage fees may not be applicable. It would be worth checking out...............
