Mini-PCI X Slot - what do i use it for?

ive had a shuttle SB95p for a year - i still dont know what i can use the mini pci-x slot for?

It's not a "mini pci-x" slot. It's a PCI-E x1 slot. PCI-X is something entirely different. I don't think there are any PCI-E x1 devices yet.

PCI-E = PCI Express = a totally new arcitecture which is not bus compatible with PCI.

PCI-X = PCI Extended = a high-bandwidth server interface which is downward compatible with PCI.
