I have been out of the loop in the computer market for awhile. I am looking to purchase a mini for only tv/music, not for games. My budget is no more than $1000. And also if I don't need to spend that much please don't go overboard with suggestions. I just want to watch blu-ray, record, listen to music, without any delay, nice and seamless.

Hello bobross! and welcome to AnandTech forums. I think your thread is fine here, because it is about a mini PC. Just remember to factor in software costs.

Windows $100
Blu Ray playback software $100
Blu Ray burning software $100

Those are not exact prices, but just keep it in mind. For actual hardware, here is a rough selection:

FM1 ITX motherboard $110
AMD A6 CPU $100
4GB RAM $25
Blu Ray burner $80
hard drive (such as Samsung 1TB F3) $60
ITX case (such as Lian Li PC-Q07) $70
PSU (such as Seasonic 300W) $45

thanks for the info, doesn't sound too bad, would I need a graphics card also, or would the onboard graphics be able to handle the HD very well

Yup, that FM1 ITX has been in stock at NE for... maybe couple weeks now? I'm sure you can find out from Camelegg.
