Mini Ipod

Were there problems with the IPOD mini? Any reason not to buy one?

Maybe I can hope for serious replies on this. 😛

zen xtra's interface sucks, and with those things its all about the interface. the mini isn't worth the price and the 4th gen seems pretty cool, go with the full ipod.

I think at one point there were serious defects in the headphone jack solders, which tended to come off pretty easily upon repeated plugging/unplugging (read: gradually fscked up sound to no sound output at all). Not sure if Apple has already solved the issue. Perhaps www.ipodlounge.com has updates.

Ugh why would you want a mini when it's barely smaller than the regular ones, that have a ton of more space!?

mini takes up about 64% of the volume of a regular ipod

that is pretty significant to me

also the body is brushed aluminum throughout except for the screen so it is much more scratch resistant/ fingerprint resistant as well
and costs $50 less

if he doesn't need the extra space than the mini is an excellent choice

64% of an object which is relatively small anyway. Give me a break, it has not even a quarter the space of the smallest 4th gens now, which I believe are 20 gigs in the least.

I love my Mini. I use it almost every day. It sounds good, plays good, and looks good.

😕

You twits add black lights, UV sensitive drive cables, LED fans a-plenty, and wire wrap to your computers, and you think I am weird for wanting an MP3 player that looks good?

😛

try jogging with the ipod it is very cumbersome

with the mini it is actually doable

i have a 4th generation ipod it is still big to me

though i didn't think the tradeoff was worth it but if it were 6 GB (enough to fit my entire music collection)
the extra space is wasted on me so i would take the cheaper price, smaller size, aluminum body over the ipod any day of the week

i rarely ever use it as a portable hard drive because you need to carry around an additional cable

when is enough enough i would rather see a mini ipod that is even smaller holds 6-8 GB than a regular one that can hold 200

cause pictures look the same between Apple and HP

Hmm, I must've confused that with the time when Dell was going to resell the iPod with a blue exterior or something. As for HP, AFAIK it's another reseller deal so there shouldn't be any difference.
