Mini-Display Port to DVI adapter limited to 1080p?

I've only found reference to resolution support up to 1080p with these adapters such as the ones sold from Monoprice. Are there any that support a resolution over 1080p? We're getting a new Mac Pro at work and have one HDMI and 6 Thunderbolt 2 Ports which I've been told are compatible with Mini-Display port. The current display doesn't have DP or HDMI, just DVI. I'd like to be able to just buy a new monitor as well but I don't think that'll happen. The monitor in question is 1920x1200 and I tried 1080p on it and it doesn't look good at all. Text is really fuzzy.

You will need a powered DP to Dual Link DVI adapter to get 1440p and above resolution. Here is the one from monoprice that I have used in the past:

Works decent sometimes a little flaky.

ok i'll keep that in mind if I can't get 1920x1200 with the cheap adapters.

I see...I'll keep that link handy in case the adapters I have coming won't do 1920x1200. I don't know how hard a limit on 1920x1080 they are.
