The Asus 880 uses a CX23880 chip, right? Not the CX23881?

If anyone knows, please post. The CX23881 cannot output stereo sound in NTSC.

I ended up getting this card for Christmas, due in part to the feedback in this thread. It's definitely a great card. The picture quality is superior to either of the two previous tuners I've had (ATI TV Wonder and Hauppauge DTV). The software package is very cool as well. All of the components are nicely integrated, and I haven't had a single crash or bug under XP yet.

Just my 2 cents :)

Keep the Leadtek card, Asus card isn't supported by dscaler which is the best viewing software you can get for this kind of thing, IMO.

dScaler 4.1.2 and 4.1.3 both have alpha support for the CX23880/1 chipsets.

Not to mention the CX880 has built-in de-interlacing algorithms that improve the picture quality over the CX878 and CX848 chipsets. DScaler support will be a bonus when it arrives, but for TV viewing its not even necessary. I'm looking forward to it to see if it improves Video input resolutions (such as video games and external video), as they are not natively supported by the included software.

How very interesting, I remember reading not long ago that they had no plans to ever support the card.
