I've seen that done with vegetable oil before but they didnt submerge the power system. That was impressive...hmm that might be the idea for a new project.

Yea, actually from a performance standpoint, putting the PSU in there is a bad idea. It looks nicer to have it all in the tank - but keeping the PSU out would remove a significant heat source from the oil, so it would presumably take longer to hit equilibrium, and have a lower equilibrium point.

what exactly do you mean by equilibrium? the point at which dissipation and production are the same?

That is pretty cool. I don't know why they didn't remove the fans though. Kind of a waste of energy trying to spin them around in mineral oil.

looks cool, but I'd rather stick with water cooling to avoid the head aches and get much better temps anyway
