Minecraft Resolution

I played the demo and the game's low resolution on my 30" 3007WFP ratio 16:10 monitor was kind of hard on my eyes.

Should I play the game at 800x600 or is there some kind of mod that lowers the monitors resolution to fit minecraft?

You can change the resolution in the settings.... The java version on the website is not the same as the download version on the site.

I got the downloaded version and decreased the brightness in the ATI CCC.

Now I am in the process of constructing my grand tower that reaches high in the sky from the great fortress where I built a red stone piston door. This fortress will be the place for the gates I will use to create a beachhead in the nether.

I have only started on the single player but this is an amazing game and I am glad games like this still exist because every time time I look at other RPGs they all want to be a WOW clone complete with raid lockouts(with a raid schedule just to get to end game content)!
