Minecraft: Please help!

Haven't played Minecraft yet myself which leaves me out the everybody else and their dog crowd somehow. But in order to help you with the problem I'm pretty sure we're going to need to know what the error message says. Just saying it gives you an error message could mean any number of things are wrong.
 
Read up on installing mods to Minecraft. You can do a manual installation (preferred) or you can use modloader. Also make sure your mod matches your game version.
