For those who are interested, MindCandy: Volume 1: PC Demos has been released to manufacturing. It should ship by the 5th of December or so, which is in plenty of time for Christmas.
Now, before anyone gets confused; these are not "demos" as in "video game demos" but are just "PC Demos":
If you have by any chance seen something called "Second Reality" then you've seen a demo.
If you haven't, then I reccomend checking out VIP2, a very popular demo that's one of the best of the best. It'll give you a good idea at just what demos are about.
Back to the program for a minute: MindCandy is a double-sided DVD containing 42 different demos, both recent and old. For many of these demos(especially the older ones), it's the only way to watch them now since the OS and/or hardware they were built on has become depreciated. If you enjoyed VIP2, you might want to check this DVD out.
MindCandy will be going for $16 in the United States, with slightly different prices in different areas. Below this is the entire annoucement, which has the list of where you can order a copy of it and for how much. I know several people on this board have been looking forward to it, so for the rest of you, it might be worth checking out.

A demo is a program that displays a sound, music, and light show, usually in 3D. Demos are very fun to watch, because they seemingly do things that aren't possible on the machine they were programmed on.
